giving in a little less

sorry i havent written in a while. i seriously have no clue of what my supposed friend of 10 years is doing. and i use the term friend loosly in this case because this person hardly qualifies as a friend. what does a friend do? what does a friend not do?

i believe that a friend is supposed to be there to confide in, be there for you, understand you (or at least try), and to have good times with.

this friend of mine has a name, but his name i wont mention so lets just call him fred. now fred is a wonderful person when he is nice but when he's having a tantrum or a bad day he is like a freight train that doesn't stop. i cannot confide in him, we argue constantly, and so far he hasn't been fun in a while. i am also guessing we will not be friends for too much longer because he and i have different opinions on whats right and what is wrong.

i will say that anyone who gives an ultimatum is just not thinking properly. fred wants to throw away 10 years of friendship and for what? so that he can prove to himself that his "logic" was right?

i can definitely write a book about this guy. but thats for another time.

bringing back old memories

sometimes you have to look back and think about all the fond memories you had whether it would be with certain people or at certain places. today made me realize that not all is lost. even though it seems that you are your own island, you are never alone. it took ernest hemingway over 10 years to realize this.

over the past week i have rekindled old connections that to me were unrecoverable. one of my friends that i lost touch with and another that i had a fight with and left the relationship broken.

everything seems to fall into place after you think you have hit rock bottom. in a week's time i thought i didnt have a job, car, income, or friends. in that same weeks time i had gotten my job back, a loner car, an income, and friends that showed me that they care.
things are looking up for me ...for now.

life is good. no matter what, you need to keep a positive mind and let it be open to new and different experiences or else you will be afraid to make the simplest decisions and therefore be frozen in the fear of "what if".

thank you for reading and hearing my thoughts. if you have any suggestions feel free to let me know :)

In the Beginning

Thank you for coming to my blogging page. This is my first blog and I am deciding to try it out. I eventually want to work up to challenge current events and rules that the government has given us to supposedly make things better, but have gone about it the wrong way. I want to change the world for the better and what better way to start than to create a blog?

I should tell you a little bit about myself. I live in Illinois but I originally came from California. Some of my family is back home and I try to go out to visit every once in a while for a little R & R. Some of my hobbies are swimming, biking, playing electric guitar and piano, and I love doodling and sketching. Most of all I love reading. I am currently reading Ray Bradbury. I may also talk about current events in my life and keeping you up to date on my reading if I get the chance.

If you have any suggestions on what I can put on my blog page please comment :-)

I am very excited about my new blog and welcome to my blog page. Hope to see you back here soon!
